Once again I never had the misfortune of parental interactions like this, but I’m pretty sure my bosses did.

The closest I ever came was a parent who wanted a tour of my historic building after graduation that morning (not my graduation, I was a sophomore at the time). This was after all the residents had moved out, when my father and I were trying to load my car and get me moved out. The guy wouldn’t take “no” for an answer. I’d like to say I finally got him to leave, but apparently since I was dealing with an adult and not a student, I switched from “R.A. Mode” to “Customer Service Desk Mode.” While I was looking for my R.D to ask permission for a quick tour, my dad engaged “Colonel Mode” on him, and explained in no uncertain terms that we had Things To Do which did not include taking time out of our day to give him and his family a tour, and we had to be on the road soon.
