MEET THE STAFF OF DANIEL WEBSTER HALL

HANK McCALL

Our titular hero, Hank has been an R.A. for three years now. He’s the tough yet fair no-nonsense R.A. of the Second Floor North wing of Daniel Webster Hall. He’s world-weary, smarmy, sarcastic, and has a sense of humor drier than an all-gin martini. But beneath that tough exterior beats a heart of gold that Hank keeps well-hidden, as he understands that college is a new, exciting, and sometimes scary place for kids out on their own and away from parental influence for the first time. Hank will be there to help his residents out of the trouble they invariably find themselves in and is a firm believer in second (and sometimes third) chances, up to a point – and then beware.

MARILYN CARTER

Marilyn is the second-longest serving staff member in Daniel Webster Hall, behind Hank. She is the R.A. of the Second Floor South wing of the building. Being an R.A. is a tough job and someone has to do it, and Marilyn does it well-with a healthy dose of sarcasm on the side. She may not be quite as cynical as Hank, but she shares his distaste for paperwork. If you see her wandering the hallways late at night wearing glasses, run – someone has awoken her from her slumber and she hasn’t had time or wherewithal to put her contacts back in yet, and she will be cranky.

LISA SPINELLI

Lisa is a first-year R.A and a very quiet and shy member of the staff – something that has raised numerous questions from longer serving members. But there is a reason she has been hired on staff, and it isn’t just to play a prank on the more veteran staff members. Lisa harbors a talent deep down that really comes in handy when you’re an R.A. She is one of two R.A.s assigned to Third Floor- in Daniel Webster, this is one of the toughest assignments of them all.

KIMBERLY ADDISON

Kimberly, or Kim, is the ever-cheerful R. A. of Third Floor North.  Kim has boundless optimism and is always there to try to perk up a resident or staff member who is having a bad day. Event planning is the strong suit she brings to the staff – you can always count on her to know how to throw a successful community event.

LESLIE STRYKER

Leslie is the R.A. in charge of First Floor South, which happens to be an all-male wing. Leslie is a brand new R.A. and brings an almost fanatical devotion to The Rules to staff, sometimes to the consternation of the others. He is obsessive with his policing and relishes handing out write-ups. The fact that he has a somewhat rowdy floor does not help matters much, and sometimes seems to reinforce Leslie’s zealotry.

TONY ALLEN

Tony is a hulking brickhouse of an R.A. He’s in charge of First Floor North, and it is his first year on staff. He’s slow to anger, and you really don’t want to get him there- Tony is almost all muscle.

STACIE REID

Stacie is the Residence Director of Daniel Webster Hall. As live-on staff, she maintains an apartment in the building. She has been in Residential Life for years, first as an R.A. when she was a student and now as an R.D. and has almost seen it all. She’s a source of advice to staff new and old, and possesses both a quick wit and sharp tongue. She is one of the places Hank got his “tough but fair” mentality from – Stacie is a very patient boss both to her staff and her residents.
