Player Three Has Joined the Floor
Hank is working on slowly getting Lisa more comfortable in the job with gentle encouragement. One step at a time, after all.
You might notice something juuuust a bit different about today’s strip. As I mentioned in a blog post yesterday, I was messing around with some settings in Clip Studio Paint, and accidentally created a washed-out photo effect that I really quite liked. One of my artist friends (hi, Kabocha!) then suggested a slight noise texture effect as well to simulate film grain, and here we are! I’m going to try this style for a while, and if I like it, an if there’s a positive reception, I’ll go back to archived strips and swap them out with colored ones. At least, most of them. The process I’m using now doesn’t work so well with how I did the heavily shaded strips early on, but that’s a story for a different day.
I think the new effects look great! I love this washed out look.
Oh my gosh, what if they run into Teddy’s parents again?! Protect Suzi, Hank!!
Something tells me Teddy’s parents will be a terror to come and everyone will breathe a sigh of relief when they finally leave!
I really like it, but i’m a sucker for color anyways. It adds a bit of character having the color wash on it. Like, it helps tell the story more? Gives depth to the characters?
Thanks!
