McCall on Call

Good afternoon, readers,

After some Googling, troubleshooting, multiple restarts, and a driver reinstall, it looks like one of the function keys on my drawing tablet pen stopped working. This particular function key is the one that controls zoom and pan functions, so it’s kind of important and pretty much impossible to work without it.

I have a help ticket in with Huion, but I have no idea what the timeline on response is. After some testimonials I found around the internet, I decided to hedge my bets and go ahead and order a spare pen. Of course, due to current events, shipping and distribution chains are kind of messed up right now.

Amazon estimated I might have a new pen next week sometime, but at this point, it gets here when it gets here. This is a hobby, after all, and there are far more important things going on in the world.

So until I have a new pen, McCall on Call will have to be on hiatus. It’s a little frustrating that there are literally only two comics left to finish off Move in Day and Night Duty and I couldn’t get those out before a break, but it is what it is.

In the meantime, I can work on the script for the next chapter. Once that’s done I can start on pencils as well, so when my rig is up again I can jump right back in.
